Distance Diagnostics

Do you have plants, insects, or issues with a plant that you cannot seem to identify? Your local Extension Agent can help you with that! Not only do we have access to state agricultural specialists, but we now have access to a digital diagnostic clinic that has the potential to offer faster solutions than before. Some services that are offered through the digital laboratory include plant and weed identification, insect identification, and plant disease diagnosis. Please keep in mind if digital diagnosis cannot be performed reliably, a physical sample may be requested by lab.

If you have an issue with plants or insects and would like for the county Agriculture Agent to come to your home or farm, please call or come by our office to make those arrangements.

If you would like to send detailed pictures of your specimens to the Agriculture Agent, you can email them to alarge3@utk.edu.
